Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Orlando, FL. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing mechanical systems for large-scale projects. Your expertise will ensure that all systems meet project requirements and are designed to operate efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop mechanical systems from scratch, adhering to industry standards and local codes.
  • Perform system analysis, including stress, fatigue, acceleration forces, load calculations, material stress, and risk assessments.
  • Collaborate effectively with engineers, designers, and drafters in a multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Create detailed mechanical design documentation, including system configuration, implementation test plans, and maintenance job plans.
  • Develop mechanical system drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
  • Design and troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic control systems.
  • Analyze system designs for hazard analysis and implement safety mitigations.
  • Evaluate mechanical system reliability, life expectancy, and perform tolerance studies.
  • Work on projects involving system integration for industries such as entertainment and manufacturing.
  • Act as technical lead on projects and guide engineers, technicians, and contractors.
  • Manage smaller projects, overseeing project timelines, team responsibilities, and subcontractor management.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in mechanical systems design, stress analysis, and knowledge of amusement ride safety standards (preferred).
  • Skills: Proficiency with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Microsoft Windows, and Office environments.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and perform system design functions.
  • Experience in customer-focused project management, prioritizing tasks, and problem-solving.
  • Must be able to travel up to 35% of the time.
