As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for assessing students' communication skills, developing treatment plans, and providing therapy services to minimize the adverse impact of communication disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Assess students' communication skills, including articulation, fluency, voice, expressive and receptive language, and develop recommendations for treatment.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, interventions, and educational materials to minimize the adverse impact of communication disorders.
- Provide speech and language therapy to students, including instruction on the use of communication technologies.
- Maintain accurate records and files, including progress reports, activity logs, and billing information.
- Active Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) licensure in the state of assignment.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice.
- Ability to effectively communicate with students, parents, and other professionals.
- Computer proficiency and ability to maintain accurate records.
