Logistics Specialist Job Description

The Logistics Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of logistics operations at Scoular. This position requires a strong problem-solving skillset, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and execute logistics needs of the business, supporting merchandising and sales teams.
  • Oversee purchase and sales contract management process, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
  • Manage inbound and outbound domestic and/or international shipments, communicating with stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery.
  • Identify opportunities for better transportation utilization, working with the Manager to implement ideas for execution optimization.
  • Track relevant metrics and key performance indicators, focusing on identifying efficiencies and areas for improvement.
Requirements:
  • Four-year degree in supply chain/logistics/related field or equivalent industry experience.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, excellent customer service skills, and ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Ability to research, problem solve, take initiative, and lead within set parameters.
  • Proven ability to adapt and manage effectively in fast-paced changing environments.
  • Knowledge in domestic transportation industry and understanding of freight spreads.
