Key Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will:

  • Engage in the design and analysis of mechanical components for airborne, shipborne, and ground vehicle systems.
  • Participate in the integration of both new and existing systems, ensuring compatibility and performance across various platforms.
  • Utilize mechanical engineering expertise throughout the product lifecycle, from initial concept through to production and testing.
  • Create innovative design solutions using advanced 3-D CAD modeling software, while also providing hands-on support during production and testing phases.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis of vendor information to inform design decisions.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, systems, electrical, and test engineers, to address mechanical challenges.
  • Apply knowledge of structural, thermal, and fatigue analysis to assess mechanical systems in demanding environments.
  • Perform environmental testing of mechanical and electromechanical systems, adhering to established military standards.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of two years of relevant professional experience in mechanical design or testing.
  • Proficiency in 3-D CAD modeling tools, with a preference for CREO.
  • Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software, ideally ANSYS.
  • Familiarity with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis tools.
  • Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to adapt to shifting priorities.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related STEM field.

Compensation:
The pay rate for this position is $53.00 per hour, with the final offer based on experience and qualifications.
