About the Role

The Machine Operator role at our Northlake, TX location is a critical position that requires attention to detail and a commitment to excellence. As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for observing machine operation to detect malfunctions and adjusting for optimal run. You will also perform adjustments or repairs, such as opening valves, changing formers and sealing jaw knives, setting guides, temperature controls, nitrogen/oxygen fill ratios, and other machine-related functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and record all quality checks in computer dbase and align machine packaging output to comply with quality specifications on an order-by-order basis.
  • Ensure all aspects of quality standard are met by performing all necessary quality checks.
  • Lubricate, sanitize, troubleshoot, make minor mechanical adjustments, and perform preventive maintenance on packaging line as needed.
  • Ensure work order schedules, coffee blending matrix, and coffee transports are followed correctly and to company protocol.
  • Ensure correct labeling of product is managed, as well as, ensuring label data is complete and accurate.
  • Operate machinery and job tasks using proper safety practices and protocols.
  • Report any unsafe and near-miss incidents to management.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of machine operator experience required.
  • Knowledge of tools, machines, safety precautions in an industrial/manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to use knowledge, creativity, and initiative in recommending or implementing improvements in efficiency or safety of the work area.
  • Critical thinking and ability to communicate effectively.
