Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse RN PACU to join our team at Research Medical Center. As a PACU Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and support to patients recovering from surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments of post-operative patients and closely monitor vital signs and levels of consciousness.
  • Proactively observe and treat pain, nausea, and other patient post-operative symptoms and side effects of anesthesia.
  • Perform post-operative tasks such as changing bandages and administering medications.
  • Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families, incorporating patient teaching into all aspects of nursing practice.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current state of Missouri RN licensure.
  • Excellent oral/written communication, interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • BLS and ACLS certification.
  • Prior medical-surgical experience preferred.
