Hotel Maintenance Expert/Facilities Director Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Hotel Maintenance Expert/Facilities Director to join our team at Best Western Plus Cedar Bluff. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the physical structure of our hotel and furnishings are well-maintained and repaired as directed by the owner and general manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and repair various energy systems, including heating and cooling systems, plumbing, lighting, electrical, kitchen equipment, irrigation, and pool/spa.
  • Assist with repairing floors, roofs, doors, walls, fixture installation, and guest requests to ensure guests receive quality service and furnishings.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance in guest rooms, meeting rooms, and public spaces as required.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of engineering policies, procedures, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, electrical, and energy management systems.
  • Previous experience in a hotel, commercial building, or building maintenance organization.
  • Ability to work in a typical maintenance atmosphere requiring heavy lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize well to meet deadlines.
  • Must behave with integrity, honesty, and be open and professional with guests and fellow associates.
  • Valid driver's license required.
