We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Emergency Department Technician to join our team at FirstHealth of the Carolinas, Inc. As a key member of our Emergency Medical Services team, you will provide direct and indirect patient care through established protocols to ensure safe and effective patient flow in the Emergency Room.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of the Emergency Room Charge Nurse and medical direction of the ER Physician.
- Maintain required certifications and skills through continuing education, practical skills testing, and re-certification processes set by the state of North Carolina and FirstHealth.
- Work collaboratively with the Emergency Medical Services team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient department operations.
- Participate in continuing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest medical procedures and technologies.
- Current North Carolina Emergency Medical Services certification/licensure for Paramedic or Advanced EMT.
- At least one (1) year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Current AHA Advanced Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications may be obtained within 6 months of employment.
