Concrete Laborer or Formsetter or Finisher

MGC Contractors, a leading construction company in Texas, is seeking highly skilled and dedicated professionals to join our team as Concrete Laborers, Formsetters, or Finishers. Based in the San Antonio/New Braunfels area, this role offers a unique opportunity to work on various construction projects while enjoying a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Spreading and Finishing Concrete: Spreads concrete into forms using rakes or shovels, mixes cement using hoes or concrete mixing machines, and finishes surfaces with power trowels or wets and rubs concrete with abrasive stones.
• Forming and Shaping: Erects built-in-place forms, assembles and installs prefabricated forms, and anchors and braces forms to fixed objects.
• Groundwork and Site Preparation: Fine grades soil to achieve proper thickness of concrete, selects tools and equipment from storage, and transports items to job sites.
• Health, Safety, and Environment: Maintains a clean and safe job site, adheres to safety protocols, and ensures compliance with environmental regulations.

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess:

• A High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Six (6) months to one (1) year of related experience in the construction industry.

This is a full-time position with occasional overtime and weekend work. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment, communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors, and adapt to changing project requirements. The estimated annual salary for this role is $45,000 - $60,000, depending on qualifications and experience. This figure is based on national averages and may vary depending on location and other factors.
