Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ICU/RN to join our team at KSWIC VC Hospitals Wichita-68012. As an integral member of our healthcare staff, you will provide exceptional patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to achieve the highest standards of quality and safety.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will have a strong background in critical care nursing, with a focus on providing evidence-based care to critically ill patients. You will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient transitions throughout the hospital stay.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to critically ill patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, pharmacists, and therapists, to develop and implement comprehensive care plans
  • Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and contribute to the development of patient care plans
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective patient care
  • Monitor and report any changes in patient condition, including vital signs, laboratory results, and medication administration
Requirements
  • BLS certification required for onboarding
  • Active state licensure is required; verification through Nursys is mandatory
  • ACLS certification required for onboarding
  • Ascension Specialty Exam must be completed prior to starting
  • Ascension Core Competencies and EKG Exam are mandatory
Additional Requirements

Must be AHA certified
Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start

Salary and Benefits

This position comes with a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as paid time off and opportunities for professional growth and development.
