This role is a critical part of our team, responsible for maintaining and overseeing the safety and security of our facility and clients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide a consistent presence in all areas of the facility, ensuring a safe and secure environment for clients and staff.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and document findings to identify areas for improvement.
- Assist in the preparation of units for new move-ins, ensuring a smooth transition for clients.
- Effectively communicate necessary information to management and/or daytime staff to ensure seamless operations.
- Follow and enforce shelter guidelines, policies, and procedures to maintain a safe and secure environment.
- Support and assist clients with their needs, including providing information, resources, and referrals as needed.
- Maintain the confidentiality and privacy of clients, adhering to all relevant laws and regulations.
- Participate in regular meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date on best practices and industry developments.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of adaptability and flexibility.
- Experience working with families impacted by domestic violence and crisis intervention preferred.
- Fluency in English, including reading, writing, and comprehension skills.
This role requires the ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with a high level of adaptability and flexibility. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a team setting, with a strong focus on providing excellent customer service and maintaining a safe and secure environment.
The physical demands of this role include standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, stooping, handling, and finger movement. The ability to work in a variety of environments, including indoor and outdoor settings, is also required.
