Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Freightline Truck Inspector at Tri State Truck Center Inc. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the safe operation of commercial vehicles on the road.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity for Class A or B CDL drivers interested in transitioning into an inspection career. As a Freightline Truck Inspector, you will be responsible for performing thorough inspections of commercial vehicles, adhering to regulations set by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and Department of Transportation.

Your Responsibilities

  • Verify vehicle identification and accurately record vehicle information in the inspection system
  • Conduct detailed inspections of vehicle equipment and options, including damage and missing or inoperable items
  • Perform basic mechanical inspections on vehicles, including powertrain, drivetrain, structural, and electrical components
  • Interpret and analyze inspection results to ensure compliance with state regulations
  • Maintain accurate quality records as required

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • CDL Class A or B required
  • General knowledge of automotive or truck repair preferred
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds
  • Ability to work safely in a noisy area with various odors present

Benefits

We offer competitive hourly pay rates, starting at $22-$25 per hour, with overtime pay rate time and a half. Additionally, we provide medical, dental, vision insurance, company-paid life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, annual safety shoe allowance, and a 401K plan with a 4% company match.
