Unit Overview

The University of Vermont Health Network's Baird 4 unit provides exceptional care to patients with acute and chronic health needs. Our team cares for individuals with respiratory disease, renal and dialysis patients, diabetes, wound care, alcohol withdrawal, substance use disorders, various gastrointestinal disorders, coagulopathies, and infectious disease. As a unique floor outside the ICU, we cater specifically to trach & ventilator-dependent adults.

Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team. Key responsibilities include providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and participating in education and training initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role

This is a full-time position (pro-rated for part-time) that offers a $20K RN Sign-On Bonus. As a valued member of our team, you will have access to ongoing education and professional development opportunities. You will also be part of a dynamic team that prioritizes patient-centered care and collaboration.

Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a general medicine or critical care setting
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends
