Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will be responsible for producing high-quality ultrasound images of the heart and its blood vessels to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation
  • Prepare and position patients for examination
  • Select equipment and transducers for use in ultrasound setup
  • Start equipment and record diagnostic data
  • Monitor quality of ultrasonic patterns and adjust equipment controls as needed
  • Photograph images of organs and remove strip printouts from equipment
  • Key test data and patient information into computer
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certificate - Cardiac from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or Cardiovascular Credentialing International
  • Must demonstrate competence and perform specialties routinely
