Position Overview:
Grand View Hospital is seeking a dedicated Medical Lab Scientist to join our esteemed laboratory team. As a key player in our healthcare facility, you will engage in a variety of diagnostic evaluations across multiple disciplines including Hematology, Chemistry, Microbiology, and Blood Bank.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and prioritize daily tasks in accordance with departmental protocols to meet established objectives.
- Conduct testing procedures with precision, adhering to defined standards to ensure accurate reporting of results.
- Utilize advanced laboratory equipment and instrumentation to maintain the integrity of test outcomes.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory instruments to minimize downtime.
- Implement quality control measures by assessing appropriate controls and standards to uphold testing accuracy.
- Execute venipunctures following established guidelines to guarantee optimal specimen collection.
Qualifications:
Education: An Associate's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences or a related field is required.
Experience: A minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience is preferred.
Licensure: Must be credentialed by a recognized agency approved by the National Commission for Health Certifying Agencies (NCHCA), such as ASCP or HEW, upon hire.
