Job SummaryThe Lifeguard and Aquatics Instructor will be responsible for ensuring the safety of pool patrons, teaching swimming techniques, and providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities- Enforce pool safety rules and regulations
- Monitor swimming and other pool activities
- Rescue swimmers in danger of drowning
- Apply cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and first aid
- Inspect swimming pool for cleanliness and perform routine maintenance
- Keep a daily log of rescues and other emergencies and prepare written reports of these activities
- Assist in teaching swimming techniques
- Possession of the following current certificates at time of appointment:
- Red Cross First Aid (either multi-media, standard, or advanced)
- Red Cross or American Heart Association CPR
- Red Cross Lifeguard Training
- One or more seasons of experience as a lifeguard or swim instructor
- Health Insurance
- Bereavement Leave
- Holidays
- Deferred Compensation
