The Commander, Navy Installations is a dynamic organization committed to environmental sustainability and compliance. We are seeking an experienced Physical Scientist - Environmental Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing environmental program processes, conducting internal/external EMS audits, and applying knowledge of environmental principles and concepts.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Assess environmental program processes and recommend solutions or improvements
  2. Negotiate government system objectives and terms and conditions to obtain best value for the Government
  3. Represent an organization at headquarter conferences, compliance reviews, public hearings, meetings, or with regulatory agencies for consultation

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Physical Science, or a related field
  • At least one year of specialized experience at the GS-12 grade level or equivalent in the Federal service or private/public sector
