Job Summary

EvergreenHealth is seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist Lead to join our diagnostic imaging team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing daily clinical activities, coordinating patient care, and ensuring the highest level of quality and safety in our MRI department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform complex MRI examinations and procedures, including injecting contrast media under the supervision of a radiologist.
  • Analyze patient conditions to determine the best examination approach and provide guidance to junior staff.
  • Assist patients in preparing for studies, review procedures, and address any concerns or questions.
  • Ensure patient safety by controlling access to the magnet room and following MRI safety standards.
  • Delegate tasks and assignments to staff members, prioritize clinical needs, and maintain examination schedules.
  • Complete staff time cards, maintain policy and procedure manuals, and participate in quality control and assurance programs.
  • Provide in-service training and orientation to new employees and ancillary personnel.
  • Coordinate equipment maintenance, inventory management, and budget compliance.
  • Communicate with radiologists, managers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.
Requirements
  • Leadership or supervisory experience in a radiology setting.
  • Current ARRT or ARMRIT certification or registry eligibility.
  • Current WA State Radiologic Technologist licensure.
  • Registered in MRI Technology within one year of start.
  • Healthcare Provider BLS certification by date of hire.
  • Training specific to MRI scanner operation and performance.
