Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

Join Redding Post Acute as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) and contribute to the rehabilitation and recovery of patients. As a key member of the rehabilitation team, you will work closely with occupational therapists to develop and implement treatment plans that help patients regain or maintain independence in daily living skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement treatment plans to assist patients in developing, recovering, improving, and maintaining daily living and working skills.
  • Assist patients in performing activities of all types, focusing on those that are required for the patient to regain or maintain independence in daily living skills.
  • Collaborate effectively with the rehabilitation team to plan and execute individualized therapy programs.
  • Document treatment interventions and patient progress in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss patients' progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
  • Support holiday coverage as required.
  • Complete a non-billable orientation session of 4 hours to understand the facility's protocols and procedures.
