Key Responsibilities
  • Screen uninsured hospital patients to determine eligibility for federal, state, and county medical or disability assistance
  • Complete applications and follow through until approved
  • Provide exceptional customer service skills at all times
  • Participate in ongoing trainings to stay up-to-date on government programs and regulations
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in our company systems and hospital systems
  • Collaborate with hospital staff, case managers, social workers, and financial counselors
  • Answer incoming telephone calls, make outbound calls, and track paperwork for Medicaid patients
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Prior hospital experience preferred
  • Adaptability when dealing with changing processes and government programs
  • Professional experience working with state and federal programs
  • Exemplary critical thinking skills
  • Ability to multitask and function in a fast-paced environment
  • Fluency in English and Spanish
