Role Responsibilities:

As a Registered Nurse, you will perform a variety of clerical and operational support tasks within the unit, including:

  • Updating and organizing unit information
  • Coordinating activities within the unit and with other departments
  • Reporting pertinent information to supervisors
  • Responding to inquiries from patients, visitors, and caregivers

Minimum Educational Requirements:

Associate Degree Required; Bachelor Degree Preferred.

Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently are essential. Candidates must be capable of functioning in a high-pressure environment and taking appropriate actions.

Certifications:

· Basic Life Support (BLS)

Licenses:

· Registered Nurse license valid in the State of Kentucky. New Graduates may operate under a KY provisional license for up to 6 months, with the expectation of obtaining an RN license within that timeframe.

Essential Skills:

· Execute care plans, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.

· Document patient care provided.

· Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions to the care team, physicians, patients, and families as necessary.

· Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, nutrition, and mobility.

· Collaborate across disciplines to ensure coordinated patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial support.

· Assess and address the educational needs of patients and families, providing tailored education based on age, culture, and circumstances.

· Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
