Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect incoming manufactured goods and compare them to engineering prints to ensure compliance with industry specifications.
  • Verify that goods received match purchase orders and packing slips.
  • Document and track quality control data, including lot control forms and nonconformance reports.
  • Collaborate with vendors to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Communicate with internal customers to address quality concerns and provide solutions.
  • Perform quality control inspections, checks, and tests during and after the manufacturing process.
  • Utilize various inspection tools, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other equipment.
  • Inspect returned products and recommend repairs or replacements as needed.
  • Match lot control forms to vendor invoices and release payments in our management accounting system.
  • Identify opportunities for process and material improvements and provide recommendations.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in quality control.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the quality assurance team.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college experience in a technical field preferred.
  • 2-4+ years of manufacturing experience, with a focus on quality control and assurance.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a focus on quality over quantity.
  • Excellent decision-making skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with collaborative problem-solving and a proactive approach to identifying areas for improvement.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a focus on internal customer support.
  • Intermediate computing skills, including Microsoft Office and Adobe suite.
  • Ability to follow detailed work instructions and maintain accurate records.
  • Flexibility to perform other duties as needed and adapt to changing priorities.

Physical Requirements:

  • Sitting, standing, and bending for extended periods.
  • Lifting and/or moving up to 40 pounds.
  • Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus.
  • Warehouse environment with close work measuring small features.
