We are seeking a dedicated and caring Substitute/Aide to join our team at Down East Community Partners. As a Substitute/Aide, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and safety of all children in our care, while also supporting our teaching staff in implementing the classroom curriculum and daily routine.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a welcoming environment for children and their family members, maintaining visual and auditory supervision at all times.
  • Assist the teaching staff in implementing daily curriculum, ensuring all activities are developmentally appropriate and supportive of children's learning styles.
  • Interact with children at their level, supporting learning opportunities and encouraging problem-solving skills.
  • Participate in family-style meals and maintain a clean, safe, healthy learning environment.
  • Responsible for daily visual checks of the classroom and playground environments, correcting or reporting any unsafe conditions.
  • Maintain confidentiality of children, families, and co-workers, while maintaining professional boundaries in relationships.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent. You must also be able to pass background checks and attend all agency required training.
