Position Overview:

As an Interventional Radiology Technologist, you will play a crucial role in the healthcare team at Steward Health Care. This position involves utilizing advanced imaging technology to assist in the performance of vascular procedures, working closely with radiologists to deliver high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate ionizing x-ray equipment to produce detailed images for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians to interpret medical orders and ensure optimal patient positioning for imaging.
  • Administer contrast materials as required for imaging procedures.
  • Engage with patients and healthcare staff to maintain a professional and supportive environment.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and undertake additional imaging-related tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited radiology technology program.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in Diagnostic Radiology.
  • Proficient understanding of radiographic and angiographic methodologies and equipment.
  • Possession of a valid Louisiana License.
  • Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • Current BLS Healthcare Provider certification is required within the initial employment period.
