Job Description: Inventory Coordinator

Job Summary

An Inventory Coordinator provides day-to-day accountability for supply inventories, monitoring volumes, flow, and sourcing. They will ensure that procurement requests accurately reflect what was received and maintained within the ERP inventory system and reconcile all discrepancies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinates Daily Receiving Schedule
  • Organizes purchase orders for material handlers and ensures accurate receipt of materials.
  • Reconciles Receiving Discrepancies
  • Works directly with vendors to resolve discrepancies and avoid errors in supplier invoicing.
  • Maintains Inventory Accuracy
  • Ensures accuracy of Kanban cards and makes changes as required to maximize inventory levels and minimize waste.
  • Performs Cycle Counts
  • Conducts regular cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and identifies areas for improvement.
  • Supports Annual Physical Inventory Counts
  • Assists with annual physical inventory counts to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Ensures Proper Labeling and Organization
  • Ensures all bins, racks, and skids are properly labeled and organized to facilitate efficient inventory management.
  • Performs Audits and Provides Feedback
  • Conducts regular audits to ensure inventory accuracy and provides feedback to management on areas for improvement.
  • Contributes to Continuous Improvement
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvements and contributes to the development of solutions to enhance inventory management.
Qualifications
  • Experience with Kanban Systems
  • Experience using manufacturing ERP systems, preferably Syteline.
  • Knowledge of PC and Microsoft Applications
  • Working knowledge of company vendors and their systems.
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
Physical Demands
  • Work Environment
  • Work involves walking, talking, hearing, using hand tools, and operating motorized equipment.
  • Vision Requirements
  • Closely monitors inventory levels and ensures accuracy.
  • Physical Requirements
  • May be required to lift, push, pull, and/or carry up to 50 pounds.
