GIS Analyst

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Computer Systems Tech to join our team at the City of Frankfort KY. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for performing complex GIS activities, analyzing data, and consulting with various departments to ensure efficient and coordinated GIS activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect, create, edit, operate, maintain, analyze, update, plot, and distribute GIS data.
• Generate data and mapping as requested by Sewer Department Staff or other city offices.
• Analyze GIS data and make strategic recommendations.
• Convert, develop, maintain, update, and create metadata for GIS databases and produce high-quality maps for print and online display purposes.
• Conduct research and collect data using GPS equipment, verifying data and editing attributes in the field.
• Troubleshoot network/computer problems and configure printers and other equipment in the office.
• Provide maintenance and support for GIS servers.
• Design, develop, and implement systems to meet end-user needs.
• Oversee operations of the wastewater treatment plants security cameras, front gate, and main building security systems.
• Use Lucity, POSM, SCADA, Velocity, AppAssure, Freeance, PortALogic, Telog, WIMS, and SIMMS software or ability to learn.
• Responsible for all IT functions within the Sewer Department and coordinate those activities with the City's IT Department.
