Position Summary:

The SAP ABAP Solutions Architect will leverage extensive application development and systems integration expertise to create, test, and implement custom SAP ABAP and Fiori applications. This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality, innovative solutions that align with Butterball's business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transform legacy ABAP programs from SAP ECC to modern architectures like S/4 HANA.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of ABAP within the RICEFW framework (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Workflows) and related technologies.
  • Ensure adherence to S4 Clean Core methodologies.
  • Develop Adobe forms for S/4 HANA, addressing both online and offline scenarios.
  • Create comprehensive Technical Specification documents for all developments.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
  • Work in tandem with integration, EDI, Basis, and security teams to develop custom solutions, including interfaces with the S4 HANA system.
  • Oversee all inbound and outbound interfaces for auxiliary systems.
  • Conduct end-to-end testing for S/4 related modifications.
  • Design and develop applications using ABAP programming, ensuring compliance with quality standards through rigorous testing and troubleshooting.
  • Coordinate with external vendors to utilize third-party solutions effectively.
  • Provide technical support and resolve complex issues within SAP systems.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Expertise in Core ABAP within S4 HANA and ECC landscapes.
  • Familiarity with APIs and Core Data Services (SAP CDS) in S/4 HANA.
  • Proficient in S/4 HANA, FIORI, UI5, ODATA, Data Migration, and related tools.
  • Strong knowledge of ABAP debugging, testing, and Data Dictionary Objects.
  • Understanding of SAP development methodologies and integration technologies.
  • Experience with Adobe forms, AMDP, CDS, and HANA proxy objects.
  • Proven ability to deliver ABAP and Fiori solutions effectively.
  • Experience in RAP Programming and writing ABAP programs across various functional areas.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong collaboration and project management capabilities.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in ABAP design, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Significant experience with Fiori, CDS, OData, SAPUI5, and Adobe forms.
  • Participation in at least 2 full life cycles of SAP S/4 HANA implementations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAP certification in ABAP programming or relevant SAP modules.
  • Experience in the manufacturing or food production sectors.

Working Conditions:

  • Office environment with standard office equipment.
  • Moderate noise levels.
  • Sedentary role with occasional lifting of light weights.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
