About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit team at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our young patients and their families.

Responsibilities:

  • Organize and administer individualized age-specific professional care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital in support of medical care.
  • Supports philosophy, objectives, and the mission and vision of Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center and the Department of Nursing.
  • Practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, Department of Health Regulations, TJC requirements, and other regulatory agencies.
  • Participates in patient teaching and discharge planning.
  • Participates in Unit Performance Improvement evaluation activities.

Requirements:

  • Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Minimum (2) two years recent/current experience in specialty required.
  • Completion of all orientation requirements by Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center.
  • Successful completion of all Orientation programs required by Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Baccalaureate degree in Nursing.
  • Certifications and Licenses: Active Registered Nurse License in the state of New Jersey, Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association, NRP certification, PALS certification, Must have I.V. certification and pass test upon hire, Must have Cardiac Rhythm certificate and pass test upon hire, 4 total contact hours of stroke continuing education from current year (must have certifications).
