Job Overview:
The Registered Radiology Technologist is responsible for conducting medical imaging examinations under the supervision of a physician. This position offers a $5000 sign-on bonus and relocation assistance if required.

Work Schedule:

Part-time position requiring 30 hours per week. As a member of Intermountain, you will benefit from the PEAK Program, which provides educational resources for eligible caregivers and their dependents in collaboration with InStride, a leader in enterprise education.

PEAK covers tuition for over one hundred online learning options, including undergraduate studies, professional courses, certifications, high school diplomas, and English language learning.

All courses are conducted online.

Through PEAK, Intermountain pays tuition upfront, alleviating the financial burden of out-of-pocket expenses for caregivers.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate patient identification and order verification while preparing patients for imaging exams.
- Demonstrate sensitivity to patient needs throughout the imaging process.

- Clearly explain the procedure to patients and their families to foster cooperation and reduce anxiety.

- Address any patient concerns effectively.
- Conduct radiologic exams that yield high-quality images while prioritizing patient and staff safety.

- Adhere to established protocols, ensure correct patient positioning, utilize equipment effectively, and follow radiation protection guidelines.

- Employ sterile techniques during invasive procedures.
- Recognize and respond promptly to emergent patient situations.
- Complete all required documentation accurately, including timestamps and image storage.
- Coordinate patient care and communicate essential information to other healthcare providers post-procedure.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for patients and staff, ensuring efficient storage of supplies and equipment.
- Pursue ongoing education and career development opportunities, particularly in new procedures and technologies.
- Assist and mentor students and fellow Radiology Technologists in exam protocols, procedures, positioning, and equipment usage as appropriate.

Minimum Qualifications:
- ARRT registration.
- Current Radiologic Technologist license in the state of practice (if applicable).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare providers.
- May be required to complete the Medical Assistant (MA) Competency Checklist within 90 days of hire and perform MA functions as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:
- IV certification.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to carry, hear, lift, perform manual dexterity tasks, push/pull, see, speak, stand, and walk.
