Newmark, a world leader in commercial real estate, seeks a highly skilled Commercial Property Inspector to join its Asset Management team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in property inspections, asset management, and commercial real estate.

Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team responsible for conducting, reviewing, and reporting on property inspections across various property types. As a Commercial Property Inspector, you will support our Asset Management and Underwriting teams by working closely with borrowers to address deferred maintenance, identify potential problem areas, and review repair solutions for any deficiencies.

The successful candidate will possess excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to work productively under minimal supervision, and strong communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word, is required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform property inspections to ensure compliance with investor and company requirements.
  • Manage the inspection process from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality reports.
  • Work closely with Underwriting staff to support best practices requirements and resolve scheduling and contact issues with vendors.
  • Distribute inspection reports to investors, trustees, borrowers, master servicers, and other parties as needed.
  • Monitor vendor issues and send deferred maintenance letters to borrowers as required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in commercial real estate, including direct experience with investment management, asset management, commercial property management, loan origination, and/or underwriting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ARGUS experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications. This is a full-time position requiring up to 80% travel within the United States. Newmark is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
