Position: Fire Alarm Installation Technician
The primary responsibility of this position is to install, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and program various alarm systems. Our goal is to enhance the revenue of the Alarm & Detection division while ensuring profitability, meeting customer expectations, and adhering to all necessary regulations and standards. This role involves close collaboration with Project Managers and the Operations Manager.
This position demands a proactive individual who thrives in a dynamic, multi-tasking environment, focusing on customer relations, quality workmanship, and a comprehensive understanding of alarm systems. The role will necessitate travel to client locations and may involve occasional overnight stays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and program Fire Alarm, Access Control, Nurse Call, Intrusion, Sound, CCTV, and IP Video Systems.
- Complete all necessary documentation, including Work Tickets and Inspection Reports, for service calls and inspections.
- Deliver outstanding customer service to both internal and external clients.
- Provide detailed oral and written feedback to management regarding customer concerns.
- Effectively coordinate and communicate with team members and clients.
- Participate in the department's on-call rotation and work flexible hours as needed.
- Demonstrate the ability to work with low voltage systems.
Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in the Fire Alarm or Security industry.
- A high school diploma or GED is required; vocational or trade school education is a plus.
- Strong technical aptitude and a willingness to learn new systems and processes.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- NICET fire alarm certification is preferred or the willingness to obtain it.
- Ability to lift equipment and tools weighing up to 40 pounds.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel).
