Laborer - Construction Support

Corna Kokosing Construction Company is seeking a skilled Laborer to join our team. As a Laborer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth execution of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Load, transport, and unload materials, tools, and equipment to support construction activities.
  • Clean and maintain the work area, restocking supplies and materials as needed.
  • Erect scaffolding, shoring, and braces to ensure safe working conditions.
  • Build and dismantle concrete forms to support concrete pours.
  • Perform a variety of tasks involving the use of hands and tools, such as demolishing buildings, sawing lumber, and dismantling forms.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work rapidly and accurately with hands.
  • Ability to repeat tasks of short duration according to a set procedure.
  • Ability to climb and maintain balance on ladders and scaffolding, carrying tools and equipment.
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or work at heights as required.
  • Ability to lift and carry objects weighing pounds.
  • Ability to use arms and hands to reach for, handle, and manipulate objects.
  • Ability to follow specific directions.
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
  • Ability to judge straight lines, spaces, and proportions.
  • Ability to read and understand measuring tools and levels.
  • Ability to compare and see differences in the size, shape, and form of lines, figures, and objects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Some construction experience is preferred.
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
