Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee contractor activities to guarantee adherence to contract stipulations and standards, including evaluation of inspection levels and testing protocols.
  • Monitor the installation of communication and data systems, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Document adherence to construction standards and specifications throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of field observations, including daily reports detailing work completed and field measurements.
  • Engage in technical assessments of development plans to confirm alignment with established standards.
  • Participate in construction progress meetings to discuss ongoing project developments.
  • Conduct infrastructure walkthroughs and compile punch lists as necessary.
  • Address and resolve any conflicts arising during construction activities.
  • Provide photographic documentation of construction progress and identify areas of concern.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and local codes during the installation of utility systems.
  • Attend significant contractor project meetings to stay informed on project status.
  • Engage in testing, demonstrations, and field training with relevant personnel.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or equivalent education and experience in construction inspection for large-scale Department of Defense projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with RMS.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with USACE projects.
  • Understanding of the USACE Three Phase Inspection Process.
  • Knowledge of EM 385-1 Safety Requirements.
  • Prior construction management experience in Florida, particularly near military installations.
