Job Opportunity for Speech-Language Pathologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at a suburban school district in Pennsylvania. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will work with elementary school students to assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess students referred for possible speech and language needs
  • Participate in initial referral meetings, annual and triennial IEP meetings for students receiving speech services
  • Provide individual and/or group therapy sessions for students with identified speech and language disorders
  • Develop individualized education plans and present them to parents, school administrators, and others involved with student evaluations
  • Consult with teachers, counselors, parents, nurses, and administrators on speech and language concerns
  • Maintain accurate records for all students on the caseload
  • Provide reports of a student's progress to parents
  • Organize student caseload and develop a schedule for each assigned school
  • Develop resource materials for use in speech and language development
Requirements:
  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communications Disorders
  • Pennsylvania Speech-Language Pathology License
  • Instructional Specialist certificate from the Pennsylvania Department of Education

We are looking for a candidate with excellent communication skills, solid organization, and up-to-date knowledge of Pennsylvania Special Education procedures and best practices for SLPs in school settings.
