Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide athletic training services to local high schools and colleges, including injury prevention, evaluation, and rehabilitation.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Develop and implement injury prevention programs for student athletes.
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of injuries and illnesses, and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Provide emergency care and first aid as needed.
  • Document patient information and treatment plans in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or related field.
  • Current certification by the Board of Certification (BOC).
  • Current BLS for Healthcare Professionals certification.
  • NYS Athletic Trainers License through the NYS Board of Education.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with student athletes and in athletic training settings.
  • Knowledge of injury prevention and treatment techniques.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
