Position Overview:
The selected candidate will be responsible for sourcing and procuring aerospace components and fasteners. This role involves analyzing data to assess the feasibility of purchasing products and establishing pricing objectives. The candidate will also keep abreast of market trends and manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Achieve savings and inventory goals aligned with business strategies.
2. Conduct market research and implement long-term agreements to optimize savings and inventory.
3. Select suppliers, negotiate terms, issue purchase orders, and manage delivery timelines.
4. Collaborate with the Sales department to address customer needs effectively.
5. Evaluate inventory levels and validate forecasts to inform supply planning.
6. Prepare and negotiate supplier agreements to enhance savings opportunities.
7. Confirm purchase order details and ensure accuracy.
8. Maintain awareness of departmental objectives and the impact of procurement decisions.
9. Provide expertise in business processes and promote continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
• 4-6 years of relevant experience in procurement or supply chain management.
• Advanced negotiation and analytical skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Basic presentation skills and advanced knowledge of commodities.
• Familiarity with aerospace compliance and regulations is preferred.
Education:
A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is required. Preferred candidates will have 6-8 years of experience and may hold APICS certification in Production & Inventory Management (CPIM).
