Job Title: Food Service Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Food Service Subject Matter Expert to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for cross-selling foodservice packaging to our existing Jan/San customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with General Managers, Sales Managers, and Sales Representatives in the Southern California area to drive sales growth.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with IFS counterparts to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Manage sales pipelines and follow up with sales professionals and customers to drive cross-selling sales.
  • Provide cost and price expertise to support sales efforts and win new business.
  • Engage with GPOs to manage contracts, reporting, and cost programs to drive sales growth.
  • Provide weekly/monthly product training to the sales team to ensure they are equipped to sell foodservice packaging effectively.
  • Collaborate with vendors to drive sales growth through sales ride-alongs, sampling, and product showroom setup.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in the foodservice industry, preferably in the packaging space.
  • Strong work ethic and excellent time-management skills.
  • Ability to live in the sales territory and have a valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle record.
  • Exceptional level of motivation, desire, competitiveness, customer-driven focus, time management, multi-tasking, and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage, develop, and enhance new and existing customer accounts.
  • Ability to cold call extensively to develop new business.
  • Strong presentation skills and interpersonal effectiveness.
  • Ability to work well independently and have competence in Microsoft Office and general computer usage.
  • Sales systems experience, including online order entry, sales metrics dashboard, or CRM experience.
