Job Title: Family Time Worker II

Government Jobs is seeking a qualified Family Time Worker II to join our team at the Weld County Department of Human Services (WCDHS).

About the Role

The Family Time Worker II will provide services designed to actively monitor, assess, and assist in the overall adult/child interactions between parent/relative/caregiver and child(ren) with the intent to improve the quality of the relationships, bonds, and attachments to assist in achieving permanency for children and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical observation and assessment of parent/child interactions
  • Intervene to provide feedback and coaching to improve parent-child relationships
  • Ensure child safety through proactive and responsive strategies
  • Collaborate with families to develop and implement individualized plans to achieve permanency
  • Document and report on family progress and outcomes
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of strategies to improve family outcomes
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices and research in the field of child and family services
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and resources to support family needs
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures to ensure effective and efficient service delivery
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Enjoy working closely with children and families
  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • Experience working with children and families in a social services or related field
  • Knowledge of child development and family dynamics
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass a background check
