The role may involve assisting in the operating room or executing department-specific procedures, along with on-call duties as required.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with the supervising physician as part of a healthcare team.
- Conduct comprehensive patient examinations and gather medical histories.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, addressing any abnormalities.
- Perform therapeutic procedures, including injections and wound care.
- Develop and implement patient management strategies and maintain continuity of care.
- Educate patients and families on health maintenance and treatment plans.
- Facilitate patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Assist in surgical procedures as necessary.
- Conduct pre-operative evaluations and provide relevant education to patients.
- Monitor and manage patients during recovery, ensuring adherence to post-operative protocols.
- Document patient care activities and collaborate on performance improvement initiatives.
Experience: Minimum of three years as a Physician Assistant within the last five years.
Education: Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
Licensure: Valid Physician Assistant License in California, National Provider Identifier, and National Certification required upon hire.
Additional Requirements: Fluoroscopy Permit may be necessary for specific departments.
