Job Title: Software Engineer

Canonical is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our Identity Management team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing new features and enhancements for our identity management solutions.

About the Role

We are looking for a talented software engineer with a passion for open source software, Linux, and Web Services at scale. You will work closely with our distributed team to collaborate on strategy and execution, and will be expected to own the design and delivery of the system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement new features and enhancements for our identity management solutions
  • Collaborate with our distributed team to develop and deliver high-quality software
  • Work with our team to identify and prioritize new features and enhancements
  • Develop and maintain high-quality code, following best practices and standards
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to colleagues
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in the industry
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Experience with Python and Golang programming languages
  • Knowledge of open source software, standards, protocols, and concepts in the identity space
  • Experience with authorization frameworks in distributed systems
  • Strong understanding of secure coding practices and standards
  • Experience working in an agile development environment
