We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical First Assist to join our team at HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast. As a Surgical First Assist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Assist surgeons and staff in preparing patients for surgery, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment.
- Communicate effectively with surgeons and other team members to ensure seamless execution of procedures.
- Prepare and maintain the operating room, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Completion of a Surgical Technologist certification program or equivalent medical training.
- Current certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) and Surgical First Assist (SFA).
- 2+ years of experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist, with 1+ year of experience as a Surgical First Assist preferred.
- Current BCLS certification from the American Heart Association.
