Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Patient Service Specialist to join our team at Dignity Health Physical Therapy. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient service, managing patient flow, and ensuring a seamless experience for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greets patients with a smile and provides a positive first impression of our practice
  • Answers phone calls and responds to patient inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Schedules appointments and checks patients in at arrival, ensuring a smooth and efficient process
  • Verifies insurance and handles referrals and pre-authorizations
  • Collects co-pays and manages daily cash balancing and weekly banking deposits
  • Enters patient data accurately and efficiently to ensure proper billing
  • Communicates effectively with clinic staff and supporting departments to ensure a seamless experience
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Knowledge of insurance verification a plus
  • Healthcare experience a plus
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to walk, stand, and bend consistently throughout the workday
  • Manual dexterity to enable typing and data entry
  • Ability to lift up to 25lbs safely and efficiently
