Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluation and Assessment: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students' speech and language abilities to identify areas of strength and weakness.
  • Treatment Planning: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' communication needs.
  • Direct Therapy Services: Provide direct therapy services to students, including speech and language therapy sessions.
  • Collaboration and Consultation: Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication needs and develop strategies to promote effective communication.
  • Record Keeping and Progress Monitoring: Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and student progress, including progress notes and treatment plans.

Qualifications
  • Education: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure in New Mexico.
  • Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred, but Clinical Fellows (CFs) are welcome to apply.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a school environment.
