About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate occupational therapist to join our team at Amedisys, a leading provider of home health, hospice, and high-acuity care. As an occupational therapist with our company, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of patients and their families by providing much-needed care in the comfort of their own homes.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver occupational therapy services under a physician-approved plan of care, ensuring the safety and effectiveness of the service delivery process.
  • Complete documentation timely and accurately, and supervise home health aides when RNs are not active in the case.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Current license to practice occupational therapy specific to the state you are assigned to work.
  • Graduate of an occupational therapy program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the American Occupational Therapy Association, Inc. (AOTA), or successor organizations of ACOTE.
  • Eligible to take, or has successfully completed, the entry-level certification examination for occupational therapists developed and administered by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, Inc. (NBCOT).
  • One year related occupational therapy experience to ensure knowledge and skills are sufficient to safely provide occupational therapy services to patients.
