Must-Have:
- Cardiovascular disease experience
- Pre/post Catheterization Lab and Interventional Radiology procedures
- Fresh open heart surgery recovery
- Cardiac surgical experience
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage patients with cardiovascular disease and those recovering from fresh open heart surgery.
- Care for patients pre and post Catheterization Lab and Interventional Radiology procedures.
- Conduct special procedures including CABG, OHS, AAA, valvular repairs, IABP, Impella, and VADs management.
- Administer pacemaker and epicardial pacer management.
- Provide CRRT/dialysis and hemodynamic monitoring.
- Perform breathing treatments, chest tube setup/care, CPAP/BiPap, tracheostomy care, and operate high-frequency ventilators.
- Administer RSI drugs, blood products, and perform cardioversion/Manage IABP and recovery of open heart patients less than 12 hours post-op.
- Work with unseasoned staff, requiring strong traveler support.
- Orient with validated skills for certain competencies; 40 hours of non-billable time.
- Utilize special equipment such as vasopressors, balloon pumps, and CVVH/Prismaflex.
Additional Requirements:
- Travelers are expected to work at least three out of five holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day.
- Ideal candidates must pass a clinical review and receive an automatic offer.
- Float to different units as needed, with transportation required for different campuses within a 40-mile radius.
