Unit Manager

As a Unit Manager/Director - RN at Genesis HealthCare, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to our patients and residents. This leadership position requires a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to motivate and direct a team of healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and direct the overall operations of the nursing unit, ensuring that patient care delivery is consistent with Genesis HealthCare's mission, vision, and values.
- Collaborate with staff, physicians, and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients on the assigned nursing unit.
- Manage human resources, including recruiting, orienting, and assessing the work performance of nursing staff.
- Implement disciplinary action when necessary and limit the use of overtime and agency personnel.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, college, or university; BSN preferred.
- Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing is required.
- Minimum of three years full-time or equivalent clinical experience is preferred.
- Minimum of two years of clinical experience in long-term care is preferred.
- One year in a management/administrative or supervisory capacity is preferred.
