Accounting Specialist Job Description

The accounting specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial records. This position requires a skilled researcher with strong communication and computer skills to analyze information, maintain records, and provide support to various departments and external parties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Verify, record, and process transactions using relevant documents.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records, including ledgers, journals, invoices, and receipts.
  • Assist in daily, monthly, and annual accounting activities, such as generating financial reports, developing budgets, and preparing taxes.
  • Engage with vendors and suppliers to ensure accuracy of charges and timely payments.
  • Interact with clients to address account statuses and discrepancies.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, financial legislation, and company policies through continuous education.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and financial legislation.
  • Strong time management, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good mathematical and research skills.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with bookkeeping software.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to analyze data accurately and efficiently.

Salary Range: $54,000 - $58,000 per year
