We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our team at Covestro. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data science and be able to develop innovative solutions based on technologies, tools, algorithms, and methods from the data science field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop data science solutions from ideation through prototyping and production deployment
  • Identify, evaluate, and model relationships between diverse data types across various application areas
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand domain-specific challenges and translate them into data science questions

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field with 6+ years' experience in the data science domain
  • Master's degree with 4+ years' experience in the data science domain
  • PhD with 2+ years' experience in the data science domain
  • Experience in project management and agile methods
  • Experience working in an international environment with virtual teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD
  • Proficiency in programming languages for analysis and modeling
  • Proficiency in data wrangling and manipulation
  • Experience with machine learning algorithms
  • Experience with cloud platforms
