Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Special Education Teacher to work with students with disabilities, providing individualized education plans (IEPs) and supporting their academic, social-emotional, and behavioral growth. As a member of our team, you will be part of a collaborative environment that values student success and well-being.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Special Education from an accredited institution, a valid and current state license to practice special education, and at least two years of experience working as a special education teacher in an educational setting. You will possess strong knowledge of psychological assessment and intervention techniques, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct individual educational evaluations to assess students' cognitive, behavioral, and emotional functioning.
  • Develop and implement IEPs for students with disabilities.
  • Provide counseling and support to students on a variety of issues, including academic concerns, social-emotional problems, and behavioral challenges.
  • Consult with teachers and other school personnel to develop and implement interventions to address students' needs.
  • Collaborate with parents and families to provide support and resources.
  • Participate in school-wide initiatives to promote student success and well-being.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education from an accredited institution.
  • Valid and current state license to practice special education.
  • Minimum of two years of experience working as a special education teacher in an educational setting.
  • Strong knowledge of psychological assessment and intervention techniques.
  • Experience in developing and implementing IEPs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
