About the Role

Affiliated Engineers, Inc. (AEI) is a leading multidisciplinary consulting engineering firm seeking a highly skilled Piping/Plumbing Engineer I to join our team in Portland, OR.

Job Summary

We are looking for a talented engineer to help us empower our clients to achieve energy-efficient building solutions, save global environments, and create a better, greener future for all.

Responsibilities
  • Perform load calculations and determine system sizing and layouts
  • Calculate equipment sizes, select equipment, and complete field surveys
  • Review equipment shop drawings and participate in project meetings with clients and other consultants
  • Support construction-phase work and lead piping/plumbing project teams
  • Write specifications and mentor designers
Qualifications
  • BSME/BSAE from an ABET-accredited school
  • Minimum GPA of 2.5
  • Non-academic internship experience
  • Leadership involvement in extracurricular activities/student organizations preferred
  • EIT certification (Passed the FE exam) a plus
  • Internship experience in the MEP consulting engineering field preferred
